Fear Takes You Down. Love Lifts You Up.
Today, many people feel full of fear. And many believe they need to hold on to their fear in order to be safe.
The fact is, holding on to fear shuts you down, intensifying the very weakness and powerlessness you’re trying to avoid.
When you’re hunkered down in the bunker of your own mind, nothing can come in, and nothing goes out.
This attempt to stop the very flow of life itself can never last for long. Eventually, life will burst through your defenses, like a daisy blooming through a crack in the sidewalk.
Shutting down also limits your ability to be effective, loving and strong in the world because when you are closed to one thing you are closed to all things. That is how Wholeness works. Whatever you do, every part of you is doing it.
You can choose at any moment to move forward with an open heart and open hands, even if you feel frightened.
It’s essential to realize the part of you that feels afraid will never feel safe. There is not enough evidence in the world to prove to this part of your consciousness – your ego-mind – that you are safer when you stand in love and strength rather than cower in fear in the shadows. The part you’re trying to satisfy can never be satisfied – that is not its job. Its job is to dominate you by keeping you scared, until you believe that you are your fear … even though this can never be true. You are bigger than your fear.
All we can do, then, is choose to acknowledge our fear and breathe it out into the Light, so we can return to the strong, still center at the core of our being. That is where the only true safety exists. That is where we again become effective in the world, so we can take inspired action rather than use up precious time and energy bewailing the wickedness in the world.
Will you be one who chooses love and strength today? Stand with me. Let’s stand together in love and strength today and every day, shall we?
