It’s natural to feel the loss of loved ones more sharply over the holidays.
And it can be hard to handle grief, which can show up as sadness, anger, loneliness, rage against the injustice of a loved one’s passing – even feeling heartsick about a loved one who has not yet passed, but soon will.
Here are some ideas that I hope will bring you a bit of comfort.
If your grief deepens into anguish or depression, please consider seeing your medical practitioner to eliminate the possibility of a physical condition causing some of your emotional turmoil.
If you’re thinking of harming yourself, please call 911 or a suicide hotline. You matter. You are needed. You are loved, even if you feel unloved right now.
Bless you, my dear! Peace be with you.
